Pregnancy support and birth preparation.

Growing and carrying new life in your womb is such an exceptional experience.
It’s magical and overwhelming and too often is not given the reverence that it deserves.
You are creating life.
Within your body and from your body.
You’re a fucking badass.
My pregnancy support and birth preparation has a deep focus on tapping into your intuition; blocking out the noise so that you can listen to that voice inside and make the decisions that you know are best for you, your baby and your family.
While I have a framework to guide us in our sessions, our time together will be led by what you feel that you and your baby need.
Being able to communicate your wants and needs and being the leader in these sessions begins to lay down a foundation of autonomy that you will carry into your birth and motherhood journey.
We will cover;
Fears around birth and labour.
Physiological birth.
Embracing pain and techniques to move through labour.
Partner communication and the roles of the partner (ideal if the partner is present for this one)
Expectations of labour and birth.
If you’re birthing in a hospital; discussing hospital policies and how these may have an affect on your birthing experience.
Create your birth plan using informed decisions, led by your intuition and innate knowing.
2 x 3hr postpartum planning sessions.
Bodywork to allow for physical and emotional wellbeing.
Herbal supports.
Phone/text support.
Note that this support does not include birth attendance.
While I am passionate about supporting women throughout labour and birth, in this season of my life I am unable to be fully present in the birth space.
This is why I ensure that our sessions together during pregnancy are thoroughly utilised and we ensure that all of your supports and plans are in place.
A supported and cared for Postpartum is the ultimate act of rebellion within today's society.
It's a big middle finger to the current hustle culture and the idea that women should "snap back"
physically, emotionally and spiritually to their pre-mother selves.
By caring for the Mother she is given the space and support to care for her baby,
the future generation, who will in turn, grow up to take care of their communities and so on.
As with all aspects of Birth and Mothering, Postpartum can look and be different for each woman however, the core focus of this support is always deeply focused on nourishment; physically, emotionally and spiritually.
This support includes 2 x 3hr Postpartum planning sessions during pregnancy and 12 visits over 8 weeks during Postpartum.
(2 visits each week for the first 4 weeks then 1 visit each week for the remaining 4 weeks)
While our time together will ebb and flow with yours and your family's needs, my support includes;
Creating your ultimate Postpartum support plan and the logistics of bringing them to fruition.
Physical and emotional support to help you to truly rest.
Nourishment with a family meal, snack and herbal support per visit.
Gentle body work to support recovery and relaxation.
Herbal therapies such as Sitz bath, Yoni steaming and foot bath.
Holding space and listening to your birth story as it naturally unfolds.
Witnessing metamorphosis into Motherhood; your Matrescence journey.
Support and guidance in ways to connect with your baby and how to tune into their needs. (Hint, you already ARE everything they need)
Breastfeeding support.
Placenta care and honouring the placenta whether that be through a Lotus birth, burying the Placenta or placenta art.
Listening and hold space for the variety of emotions you feel. I'm not there to fix, I'm there to witness and hear you.
Closing Ceremony.
"A thriving postpartum period has a rippling,
healing effect in our family lines - for generations to come."
-RACHELLE GARCIA SELIGA

In these sessions we will cover;
- The essentials of Postpartum support and care.
- Begin to work through any fears or concerns around Postpartum.
- Map out your Postpartum support plan.
- Discuss the logistics of your Postpartum care and how to bring them to fruition.
I first began working in the health and wellness industry in 2011 when I was drawn to Aromatherapy.
My passion for bodywork continued to grow and I focused on developing my skill set, working in high-end day spa’s, ski resorts and on a cruise ship around Europe.
I have always known the importance of touch and the dramatic effect that it can have on others not just physically but also emotionally and spiritually.
Pregnancy and birth are most likely the most physically challenging thing your body and mind will go through.
Growing new life and carrying that life in your womb is such an incredibly beautiful and sacred experience but with that can come discomfort and even pain.
During labour and birth your ligaments are stretched to the equivalent of a first degree musculoskeletal strain with typical recovery time being 3-4 months.
Gentle body work is vital during these stages to ensure optimal blood flow to assist with healing and for emotional support by calming the nervous system and allowing the body to take a breath and let go.
Touch from another woman is medicine.
Herbal support during Pregnancy, Birth and Postpartum is severely underrated and undervalued.
The variety of benefits that can be offered by Mother Nature is profound and, when used correctly and with reverence, can have immense benefits to the whole body, mind and spirit.
I use a variety of herbs that I grow at home, alongside organic herbs that I purchase, to create personalized herbal supports such as herbal teas, bath soaks, sitz bath and yoni steaming blends.
I offer a complimentary initial consultation to discuss your goals for herbal support, your lifestyle and how these supports may fit in and any allergies or preferences.
Your investment varies depending on which supports you choose, the quantity and the cost for postage.
Jess, words cannot express out gratitude for having you there with us through the birth of baby River.
You turned an overwhelming experience of having a premature baby into a positive one by being there for both myself and my partner.
Helping families is definitely your calling.
We feel like you are family.
